Chicken & Mushroom Pie

Here's a chicken and mushroom pie recipe for the colder days. It should warm your belly.

Ingredients

CHICKEN & MUSHROOM PIE

  • 1kg Chicken Breast
  • 1 Large Onion
  • 2 Capsicum Peppers
  • 2 Cups Mixed Vegetable
  • 1 Can Mushroom Soup
  • 4 Mushrooms
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Coriander & Cumin Powder
  • 1 Tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric
  • 1 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 Tsp Ginger & Garlic
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 Packet Puff Pastry
  • Handful of Mozarella Cheese

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a pan and add onions and capsicum peppers.
  2. Once the onions have softened add ginger, garlic and mushroom. Let it cook.
  3. Next, add in chicken, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander & cumin powder and black pepper.
  4. Then, add in mixed vegetables.
  5. Once cooked add in mushroom soup and cook for 5 mins.
  6. Pour the cooked mixture into an oven safe dish and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Then layer the puff pastry on top.
  8. Brush egg wash onto pastry.
  9. Then place into the oven (Gas mark 7) for 45 mins or until puff pastry is golden.
  10. Remove dish from oven.
  11. Enjoy!!!
